Who I work with

I work with adults, couples and entrepreneurs navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional regulation or relationship difficulties, as well as people who simply want to understand themselves better or need a safe space to talk. Many of my clients are neurodivergent or want to explore whether they might be: ADHD, autism, giftedness, or just that feeling of not quite fitting the standard mould. Common themes include overthinking, perfectionism, emotional intensity, communication, and feeling disconnected from yourself despite outward success.

What sessions are like

My hope is for a world where we meet each other with curiosity, acceptance and respect rather than judgement, and that is how I want to meet you, too. I won’t tell you how things “should” be. Instead, we explore your experience with openness: What do you feel and need? What works, what doesn’t, and what haven’t we tried yet? I believe, therapy should be a place where you feel understood and supported, and where you gain tools that fit you as you are.

Change often happens through small, concrete steps in everyday life: trying something new, noticing what happens, and gradually building confidence, and with it, trust in and acceptance of yourself.

How I work

My approach is integrative, drawing mainly on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches such as MBCT. I see mind and body as one system. Understanding something is one part, but feeling and living it is where lasting change happens. So alongside reflecting and making sense of things together, we make room to feel, reconnect with yourself and practise new ways of being.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. If a traditional approach doesn’t resonate, we explore alternatives together, such as techniques from art therapy, hypnotherapy or visualisation, always adapted to your needs and comfort level.

Couples therapy

With couples, I use mindfulness-based couples therapy. I help you both notice the automatic thoughts and reactions that fuel conflict, so you can pause, listen and respond to each other with more understanding.

My background

During my psychology studies in Germany, I worked as a mentor for children and teenagers and gained experience working with autistic people. Over the years, my path led me increasingly into the field of giftedness. I taught intelligence diagnostics to psychology students, worked with gifted people first in coaching and later in therapy, and collaborated with the Gifted Institute in Denmark.

I am also a trained yoga teacher with additional training in Yoga for Anxiety. Yoga-based and mindfulness practices are a natural, complementary part of my work.

Credentials

I am a member of the Danish Psychological Association (Dansk Psykologisk Forening) and of Können-Macht-Spaß, a German network of psychologists and therapists specialising in giftedness. I attend regular supervision to ensure a safe, ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
