Depression Test: PHQ-9
Perhaps things you usually enjoy have started to feel flat. Getting through work, answering messages, or making dinner might take more effort than usual. You may feel low, disconnected, or unsure how to describe what has changed.
This free, nine-question self-check asks about symptoms of depression over the past two weeks. It is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Your results appear immediately, without providing your name or email address.
Understanding your depression score
The PHQ-9 is a widely used questionnaire for screening and monitoring depressive symptoms. Your score describes the level of symptoms reported, from minimal to severe. A diagnosis requires an individual assessment that considers your circumstances, history, and daily functioning.
You can seek support at any score. If low mood, exhaustion, or loss of interest is making everyday life harder, speaking with your GP or a mental health professional can help you understand what is happening.
Village Therapy offers a space to talk about how you have been feeling and explore what might help, with sessions in central Copenhagen and online.
Thoughts about death or self-harm need attention regardless of your total score. If you report these thoughts, contact your GP or a qualified mental health professional promptly. This questionnaire is not monitored, and Village Therapy does not receive your answers.
