Therapy for identity and self-worth

You may have become very good at being what other people need: capable at work, easygoing with friends, dependable at home. Then someone asks what you want, and you are not sure how to answer. Your sense of worth may depend heavily on being useful, successful, or liked.

Therapy gives you space to explore who you are beyond the roles you fill. We can talk about values, culture, gender, sexuality, family expectations, and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself. There is room for parts of your identity that are still changing or difficult to name.

We can also examine what happens when you disappoint someone, make a mistake, or step outside an expected role. The work may involve recognizing your own preferences, allowing conflicting feelings, and making choices that feel more like yours.

You do not need a finished definition of yourself to begin. We can start with the places where you feel disconnected from your own life.
