Transpersonal Psychology
Explore meaning, identity, and spirituality, and make sense of experiences that have changed how you see yourself.
Some experiences are hard to fit into ordinary conversation. It might be a moment of deep connection, a spiritual experience, a loss that changed what you believe, or a period when the life you'd built suddenly felt like it belonged to someone else. People often keep experiences like these to themselves, unsure whether a therapist would take them seriously.
Transpersonal psychology makes room for them. It looks at the parts of human experience that reach beyond everyday concerns, such as spirituality, a sense of purpose, and moments that stretch your usual sense of self, alongside the emotional and practical difficulties that bring most people to therapy. In sessions, you might explore what an experience meant to you, how it has affected your relationships and daily life, and how to carry what you learned from it into the way you live now.
You don't need any particular spiritual or religious beliefs. People of all faiths and none are welcome, and your therapist will work within your own values and worldview. This approach can be a good fit during a major life transition, after an experience that left you disoriented, or when questions about meaning have become hard to set aside.
