Relational Life Therapy for couples

Sometimes a couple needs help naming what is happening in the room as it happens. Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a direct approach that pays attention to power, accountability, and the ways partners protect themselves or lose contact with each other.

An RLT therapist may challenge unhelpful behavior clearly while helping each partner understand what sits underneath it. The work asks you to look honestly at your own part in the relationship and practise a different way of speaking and listening. Directness should still come with care and respect.

If this approach interests you, we can discuss what you are hoping to change and whether the available clinician has the relevant RLT training. It may be one part of a broader way of working with couples.

Next step: Contact us to ask about RLT availability and the therapist's training.
